The Smith-Lever Act of 1914 provided for the Cooperative Extension Service across the United States. While some counties developed their County Extension Service earlier, Henry County’s first County Extension Agent was hired in 1925.
A referendum on whether Kentucky cattle producers may be assessed $1 per head on cattle marketed in Kentucky is scheduled for Nov. 20, the Kentucky Department of Agriculture and the Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association have announced.

The Henry County Conservation District Board of Supervisors hosted their Annual Cooperator’s Meeting on Sept. 25 at the Fairgrounds Building.
The large crowd began the evening with a grilled dinner prepared by the board members.
