    Pleasant View Baptist Church will be celebrating their Women’s Day on Sunday, May 29, at 11 a.m. Guest speaker will be Robbi Boone, associate pastor at New Horizon Worship Center, Louisville. The focus of the Women’s Day program will be to honor senior citizens.  Lunch will be served immediately after the morning service.

    Church Activities

    The Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Living God will host a weekend revival May 6 through 8. Bro. Jerry Cottrell of Palestine, W. Va., will be the guest speaker. Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, May 6 and 7, and at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 8. The church is located at 124 Smith Lane, Bedford.

    The Trimble County Hymn Sing will be held Thursday, May 5, at 7 p.m. at the Bedford Springs Church, 43 Shepherd Lane in Bedford.

    Pleasant View Baptist Church will celebrate its pastor’s sixth anniversary on Sunday, April 24. The 11 a.m. speaker will be Rev. Lloyd Watkins, associate minister, Kenwood Northeast Baptist Church, Crestwood. The 3 p.m. guest and speaker will be the Rev. Ronald Walker, Shelby Congregational Methodist Church, Shelbyville, along with his congregation.  Lunch will be served at 2 p.m.

    Church Activities

    New Castle First Baptist Church will sponsor a dessert reception on Sunday, April 17, at 6 p.m. Hosted by Friends of the Naivasha Children’s Shelter, Director Kristen Lowry will share about the work of the shelter, which rescues, houses, feeds and educates young boys off the streets in Kenya. Donations will be welcome at the event to assist with the current needs of the shelter. For information on the shelter, visit www.ncshelter.org.
