  • Dills celebrate 50 years

    Richard and Joyce Peyton Dills will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, March 27, 2015. The couple was married in Eminence on March 27, 1965.

     

    They have four children, Ernie Dills and James Dills, both of Eminence, Hazel Dills-Torres, LaGrange and Esther Simpson, Pleasureville.

  • Michael and Tina Lucas of Pleasureville, announce the engagement  and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Leslie to Alexander Hollon, son of Michele Guerin and Patrick and Melanie Hollon.
    The wedding will take place Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 3 p.m. in Pigeon Forge, Tenn with a reception to follow.

  • On Valentine’s Day we celebrate with hearts and candy, but February is also a reminder to remember your own heart health.  
    Heart month can set the stage for good heart health for life.   Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States.  
    Heart problems account for one in every four deaths.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is making a national effort to prevent one million heart attacks and strokes in the United States.

    The Men of First Baptist Church has a Men’s Day Project, and will be hosting a barbeque / car wash beginning on Saturday, May 16 from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. There will also be a bake sale and ice cream social sponsored by the Women of First Baptist.
