  • Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Mason Jr. of Eminence will celebrate their 72 wedding anniversary on Sunday April 8, 2012. They were married on April 8, 1939.

    The Masons have four children, Mrs. Dorothy J. Fero and husband, John of Rochester, Mich., Mrs. Shirley J. Smith of Carrollton, Marian McNeal Mason and wife Deborah of Jamaica, New York and the late William H. Mason III.

    They have six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

    Point Pleasant Christian Church will host Good Friday services at noon on April 6, with a potluck meal following.

    Henry Christian Church will be hosting its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 7. This event is open to children 4th grade and younger.

    Church Services

    Eminence Christian Church will have its annual community wide Easter Egg hunt at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 1, for ages 6 months to 12 years old at Eminence Christian Church.  Light meal served afterwards.

  • Peyton Dale Preston celebrated his first birthday with a party at his grandparents' house on Saturday, March 17, 2012.

    Peyton was born on Friday, March 16, 2011.

    Parents are Travis and Bridgette Preston of Pendleton.

    Grandparents are Carl and Sissy Preston and Wayne and Paula Edens.

  • Amy Banta and Joey Elmore announce the birth of their son, Rylee Daniel Elmore born Feb. 3, 2012, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.

    He weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces, and was 19¼ inches long.

    Grandparents are Mary Roberts of Bethlehem; Joyce and Melvin Patterson, Harrisonville; and Joseph Elmore, Louisville.

  • Cameron Banta and Nichole Benham of Bethlehem announce the birth of their daughter Hailey Nicole Banta, born Feb. 21, 2012, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

    She weighed 7 pounds, 4½ ounces, and was 20½ inches long.

    Grandparents are Amy Banta of Bethlehem and Sondra Goodlett and Lawrenceburg.

    Great-grandparents are Mary Roberts, Bethlehem, and Robert and Trish Banta, Pleasureville.

  • Greg and Beverly Hutcherson of Pleasureville announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Lindsey Mae Hutcherson to Alec Christopher Alberts, son of Earl and Marilyn Alberts of Hopkinsville.

    The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Henry County High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Louisville pursuing a master's degree in diatetics. She resides and works in Louisville.

  • Cameron Banta and Nicole Benham of Bethlehem announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

    The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Anderson County High School and is employed with Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort.

    The groom-elect is a 2006 graduate of Henry County High School and also is employed with Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort.

    The wedding will take place in Gatlinburg, Tenn.,  at the end of June 2012.

    New Castle United Methodist Church is sponsoring  a chili cook off /chili dinner and gospel sing from 4-7 p.m., Saturday, March 3. Chili, sandwiches, hotdogs, dessert and drinks.
