    Sulphur Christian Church will throw a “Back2School Bash” Aug. 7 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. with free food, games, prizes and music to kick off the new school year. This event will double as a Blessings in a Backpack food and fundraiser to benefit Campbellsburg Elementary students. The event is free but, donations will be accepted.

    Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. on the first Monday of the month at the West End Building, Jackson Road, Eminence. 

    The New Castle Lions Club meets at 7 p.m. the first and third Monday of each month at Buddy’s Place in New Castle.

    Chris and Leslie Bruther, Campbellsburg, would like to announce the birth of their son, Ethan Daniel Bruther, born Saturday, March 27, 2015, at Baptist Hospital East. He weighed 7 pounds 13.8 ounces and was 20.25 inches long. He has one brother, Will, and one sister, Briana.
    Grandparents are David and Linda Young, Turners Station, Tom and Joy James, Bethlehem, and Danny Bruther, Eminence.

    The church sanctuary at Eminence Christian Church, 5333 S. Main Street in Eminence is open each Wednesday from noon until 1 p.m. for quiet prayer and reflection. All are welcome to come and go as time allows.

    Point Pleasant Christian Church will host Vacation Bible School July 6-10, beginning at 6 p.m. each night, for ages 3 to completed seventh grade.Visit Hometown Nazareth, where Jesus was a kid and explore what it was like to live in the town where Jesus grew up. Each evening begins with a light supper.

    Eminence Christian Church (DOC) will be having its Vacation Bible School on June 23-25 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. for children ages 3 - 12 years old. It will be exploring stories from the Old Testament about food. Come join us for food, fellowship, and Bible study!
