An article on Charles Simpson’s involvement in mapping the moon for the Apollo 11 mission in the Feb. 11 edition, used an incorrect nickname for Simpson. He was known as Sonny, not Jimmy. Vickie Burgin won Ms. Kentucky Modern Woman this past weekend. Vickie was crowned queen after competing in KYB State Pageant at the Hyatt Regency in Louisville on January 30-Febuary 1. Vickie is a Henry County resident and is involved in many community charities. Vickie’s platform was Relay for Life because she is a kidney cancer survivor. She wanted to help spread awareness and show that life can go on after fighting cancer and to never give up on your dreams. Vickie will compete June 11-14 for Ms. America Modern Woman.
