  • Grace Tingle announces the birth of her brother, Jamison Lee Tingle, born Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, at Baptist Hospital East. He weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces and was 19 ½ inches long.

    Parents are Troy and Danyel Tingle of Campbellsburg.

    Grandparents are Daniel and Karen Searcy of New Castle; Frances Moss and Randy and Sherian Tingle, all of Campbellsburg.

    Great-grandmother is Margaret Searcy, Pewee Valley.

    Parents are Mike and Shelly McAlister, Simpson County, formerly of Henry County.
    Grandparents are Tom and Pam McAlister of Bethlehem and Dale and Linda Hanson of Simpson County.

  • Elijah Montero, 10, is a 4th grader.
    Principal Mike Doran said one of the things that makes Elijah student of the week is his participation in the principal’s vegetable club. He even eats the Brussels Sprouts.
    How do you show your Eminence Warrior pride?
    By playing football. I really want to win for the school. Elijah is a running back for the 2010 champion Redskins team.

    What’s your favorite school lunch?
    Pepperoni pizza, applesauce and spinach.

  • Zackery Izaah Newton announces the birth of his brother, Zayden Nickolas Newton born, Monday, January 17, 2011 at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville. He weighed 7 pounds 5 ounces and was 19 ¾ inches long.

    Parents are Beth and Obie Newton of Eminence.

    Grandparents are Tami Perry and Tom Thurman, Eminence; Joe Payton Jr. and Theresa, Port Royal; and Ann and David Fuller, Frankfort.

    An amazing story begins with a scene which makes us proud of our heritage in a lifestyle that behooves us to hold onto a part of our past. To instill the view seen in these portrait prints and to recall many stories I have written in my journal does evoke images of bygone days. The pages on time spent in the days of our youth will scan and record an epitaph upon our life’s journey.

  • Mr. and Mrs. Louis G. Suter of Campbellsburg are celebreating 50 years of marriage. The couple wed in 1961 and are life-long residents of Campbellsburg. Louis is the son of the late Webb and Sylvia Suter. Barbara New is the daughter of Pauline Hudgins of Carrollton.
