    Pleasant View Baptist Church will be celebrating their 130-year anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 3 p.m. with speaker Senior Pastor Charles Young of Spirit Anew Ministries, Louisville, along with his congregation. Lunch will be served at 2 p.m.

    The church sanctuary at Eminence Christian Church, 5333 S. Main Street in Eminence is open each Wednesday from noon until 1 p.m. for quiet prayer and reflection. All are welcome to come and go as time allows.
    Grace Fellowship of La Grange will have midweek services at 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday in the Ramada Inn meeting room.
    Sulphur Christian Church meets each Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
    Life Church will have Sunday service at 1 p.m. at LaGrange Presbyterian Church, 1931 Prestwick Drive. LaGrange.

    I learned how to take care of myself and to share responsibilities for the home I shared with my parents and my sister Carolyn.
    Some of those skills were taught; others were learned from observation.
    I learned to hang up my wash cloth and towel and to rinse out the bathtub.

    Point Pleasant Christian Church Homecoming at 4724 Property Rd. will be held on Sun. Sept 20, 5 to 8 p.m. rain or shine. A pot luck meal will be served 5 to 6 p.m.  From 6 to 8 p.m. The Miller’s Folly Bluegrass Band and Toby Nutt-Storytelling will entertain. Bring a chair. We will have crafts, gifts, antiques, homemade goodies and candy available. There is no charge for the evening, but we ask that you consider a love offering.
