  • Rebecca Holdredge and Bobby Dewitt, St. Louis, Mo., announce the birth of their daughter, Eleanor Gray Dewitt, born Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at Missouri Baptist Hospital, St. Louis, Mo. She weighed 7 pounds 2 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long.
    Grandparents are Ellen and Wayne Holdredge, St. Louis, Mo., and Marty Dewitt, Eminence, and the late Roy Dewitt.

  • Mr. and Mrs. Jack Scriber of New Castle announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Erin Katherine Scriber to Phillip Ryan Bramblett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Bramblett of Pendleton. The wedding will take place Nov. 17, 2012, at Duncan Memorial Chapel in Crestwood. A reception will follow at the St. Matthew’s Community Center in Louisville. Invitations have been sent.

  • Ronald and Toni Crouch of Bedford announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Samantha Joanne Crouch to Joseph Alan Whitaker, son of Cecil and Vicki Whitaker of Pendleton.
    The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Trimble County High School and a 2008 graduate of Sullivan University. She is the granddaughter of Frankie and Donna O’Neal of Bedford.
    The groom elect is a 2004 graduate of Henry County High School.  He is the grandson of Bill and Ruth Hughes of Bedford and the late Forrest and Marie Whitaker.

    On Oct. 3, 1812, Jesse Moreland delivered the head of one wolf above the age of six months to Deputy Sheriff W. Webb for payment of bounty.  Amount of bounty not noted.

    Levi Scott posted a marriage bond for 50 pounds on Sept. 29, 1812, and secured a license to marry Letticia Shelton, daughter of George Shelton.  They were married on Oct. 1, 1812, by Thomas Vandever, Minister of the Gospel.

    Henry Sudduth was allowed $6 by the county court for constructing a coffin for William Argo, an indigent person.

  • Amanda McClain and Mark Coots were united in marriage on Sept. 15, 2012, at 4 p.m. at Chandler Ridge. The ceremony was officiated by Morris Lyons.

    The bride is the daughter of Ann Lear, PeeWee Valley. She wore a beaded bride’s dress with a black and diamond tiara, black and white flower, and  a feather mix bouquet. Maid of Honor was Kayla McClain, Shelbyville, sister of the bride. She wore a black and white dress. Flower girls were Ciara, daughter of the bride and Chase, niece of the groom.

  • Britni-Lee Embry  of Lexington and Kent Morrison Perry of Lexington were united in marriage on June 9, 2012, at Green Mansion at Falls of Rough, Kentucky. The Rev. Carl Rucker officiated.

    The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Bobby and Joanna Embry of Hodgenville. She is a graduate of UK and currently completing her doctoral degree in physical therapy.

    Maid of Honor was Brooke-Ann Embry of Lexington. Bridesmaids were Ashley Carter and Santana Francis.

  • Nathan Garriott and Chelsea Galloway of Campbellsburg announce the birth of their daughter, Nola Rae Garriott born Aug. 23, 2012, at Baptist Hospital East She weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces and was 20 ½ inches long.
    Grandparents are Robert Galloway and Kim Dawson, Larry Garriott and Kathy Hentges.
    Great-grandparents are Janice Wonders and Joe and Betsy Peters.
