Country Club celebrates 50th anniversary

The Henry County country Club held a 50-year anniversary celebration Sunday to commemorate the formation of the Henry County Recreational Corporation that oversaw the building of the club from 1967 to 1969.

Club members participated in a golf scramble and cookout and other members took advantage of the swimming pool that played a large role in the delay of the opening of the club 50 years ago. The celebration day was a time for some of the older members to reminisce about the early days of the club.
