  • Pat Edwards

    Pat S. Edwards, age 82 of Shelbyville, formerly of Eminence, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville. Pat was born in Cave City. She was a teacher with a Master’s Degree in Library Science.  She was a wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and Hospice and Relay For Life volunteer. She was also a member of Westport Road Church of Christ. She was the daughter of the late Robert John and Marie (Isenberg) Smith.

  • Michael Lynn Gravitt

    Michael Lynn Gravitt, age 58 of Eminence, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at his residence. He was a member of Eminence United Pentecostal Church.
    He is survived by his wife, Regina Chisholm Gravitt, Eminence; one son Michael Ray Gravitt, Eminence; two daughters: Heather Roberts , Danville; Raven Sky Gravitt, Eminence; his mother, Manila Mae Dorton Gravitt, Frankfort; one brother, Orville Mason Gravitt Jr., Frankfort; and two grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Orville Mason Gravitt Sr.

  • Martha Johnson

    Martha J. Johnson, age 77, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Central Baptist Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Guy H. and Katherine Aynes Bennett.
    She is survived by her husband, Edward Johnson Jr.; three daughters: Karen Johnson of Versailles; Sharen Harmon, Bedford; Kathy Sanders, Versailles; two sons: Charles Johnson and Patrick Johnson, both of Louisville.

  • James W. Lindell

    James W. Lindell, age 76 of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Henry County, died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at his residence.
    He is survived by two sons: Donald and Douglas Lindell and one daughter, Debra Tapp.
    A memorial service was at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Ballardsville Baptist Church, 4300 S. Hwy 53, Crestwood, KY 40014.
     

  • Gene Berry

    Gene “Sparky” Berry , age 76 of Port Royal, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at the Green Valley Health and Rehab Center. He was the son of the late John D. and Mary T. (Mertz) Berry.
    He is survived by his wife, Sandra (Ogburn) Berry, Port Royal; two daughters: Donna (Berry) Oullette and Susie (Berry) Boyer, both of Port Royal; and one son, Mike Berry, Port Royal.
    Funeral services were at 11 am Tuesday, Oct. 30, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Bro. Carroll McAlister, pastor of Calvery Full Gospel Church officiated. Interment was in Port Royal Cemetery.

  • Paul Reid Gaddie

    Paul Reid Gaddie, age 65, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012. He was a high school teacher for 30 years in the Jefferson County Public School system. He was a graduate of the Kentucky Southern College and received his master’s degree from the University of Louisville. He was an animal lover and enjoyed spending time outdoors.
    He is survived by his loving spouse, Sue Gaddie; one son, Tim Gaddie; one daughter, Trisha Krejci; brother, Peter Gaddie; and three grandchildren: Ethan, Whitney and Jonah Gaddie.

  • Dorothy Wright

    Dorothy E. Wright, age 95 of Turners Station, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at Homestead Nursing Center. She was the daughter of the late McKinley and Iona (Glenn) Roberts.
    She is survived by two sons: Laymon Wright and Harold Wright, both of Turners Station.
    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, Oct. 31) at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. The Rev. Carl Rucker of Campbellsburg will officiate. Interment will be in Port Royal Cemetery.

  • Anna Coombs

    Anna D. Coombs, age 95 of Pleasureville, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville.  She was born in Campbellsburg and was the daughter of the late William and Mamie Jane Crouch Lilly. She was a retired owner-operator of Coombs Variety Store in Pleasureville  and was a member of Pleasureville Baptist Church.

  • Mary Newman

    Mary Ethel Craig Newman, age 91 of Pleasureville died Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville.  She was born in Frankfort, the daughter of the late Marshall Thurman and Elizabeth Gayhart Craig. She was a homemaker and had worked at Brunswick Manufacturing. She was a member of the Christian faith.
