  • Ronald Gordon Sr.

    Ronald Gordon Sr., age 74 of Eminence, died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at his residence.  Son of the late William and Anna (Holup) Gordon, he retired as a supervisor for Leggett and Platt. Ronald was a proud veteran of the United States Army, was an Honorable Kentucky Colonel and a member of Eminence Baptist Church.

  • Joe McHone

    Joe McHone, age 68 of Eminence, died Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at his residence.  He was the son of the late Joseph Willard and Betty Frances (Burdine) McHone.
    He is survived by his wife, Jewell (Abney) McHone, Eminence; two daughters: Nelta Cox, Pleasureville; Helen Padgett, Jemison, Alabama; one son, Willard McHone, Eminence.
    Private graveside services will be held at a later date in Berea.
    Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
     

  • Nadine Wilson

    Nadine Glenrose (Roberts) Wilson, age 94 of Eminence, died Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at Homestead Nursing Center. Daughter of the late Willie and Lou Lil (Bell) Roberts, she was a homemaker and a member of Eminence Christian Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for more than 30 years.

  • Chlora Mae Beverly

    Chlora Mae Beverly, age 90 of Pleasureville, died Sunday, Sept. 23, at her residence. She was the foster daughter of the late Lillard and Molly Kelley.
    She is survived by one son, Kirby Beverly, Pleasureville.
    Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Interment will be in Pleasureville  Cemetery.

    Jennie E. (Louden) Hogdes, age 64 of Bardstown, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at Kindred-Jewish in Louisville. She was a bookkeeper for Big Burley, Springfield and daughter of the late Dorothy Lena (Sutherland) Louden.

  • Edna Willis

    Edna Louise Willis, age 83 of Frankfort, died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at Bradford Square Nursing Home.
    She is survived by one brother, LeRoy Redmon, Lawrenceville, Ga.; two sisters: Edith Clark and Mary Thompson, both of Frankfort.
    Funeral services were 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Dr. Hershael York, pastor of Buck Run Baptist Church officiated. Interment was in Pleasureville Cemetery.

  • Earl Benton Powell

    Earl Benton Powell, age 64 of Sulphur died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012.  He was born in Sulphur and was the son of the late Joe and Lucy Carr Powell.  He was a truck driver and worked in the agricultural industry.
    He is survived by his wife: Kathy Powell of Sulphur; his daughter: Sarah Templeton (Jeff) of Sulphur; his brother: Allen Powell (Leeann) of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.

  • Daniel Stafford

    Daniel R Stafford, age 68 of Campbellsburg, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2012 at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville.  He was the son of the late Raymond  Earl and Heloise (Ray) Stafford.
    He is survived by one daughter, Michelle Mefford of Carrollton.
    Graveside services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Port Royal Cemetery. The Rev. Carl Rucker of Campbellsburg officiated.
    Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
