  • Jobless rate down in all but 10 counties

    Kentucky’s seasonally adjusted preliminary unemployment rate fell to 8.3 percent in April 2012 from a revised 8.6 percent in March 2012, making it the lowest unemployment rate in the state since November 2008, according to the Office of Employment and Training, an agency of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.

  • O’Nan joins C’Burg Chiro

    After getting four dry sockets from wisdom tooth extraction, Lindsay O’Nan got an infection into her blood. That misfortune led her on a painful path to her new profession.

    Dr. Lindsay O’Nan is from Henderson and attended Georgetown College for her undergraduate studies. During Christmas break in 2007, she had all of her wisdom teeth removed. Blood clots did not form and resulted in her having four dry sockets.

  • Leadership ‘12: Girl Power


    The Leadership Class of 2012 is changing the rules of the past.  Instead of the class running from October-June, this class began in March and will graduate in November.  This lets new experiences not featured in other classes as the summer brings new opportunities to explore Henry County.

  • It’s Allabout U

    Kathy Singleton and Stephanie Decker signed on for life when they decided to open All About U salon.  Quitting, failing, or retiring isn’t an option for them.

    The two met at Hair Designs in New Castle, where they worked together for nine years. They talked about exactly how they would want their own place to be, but Decker didn’t take Singleton seriously when she suggested they open their own salon.

  • Unemployment down from February 2011

    Unemployment rates fell in 111 Kentucky counties between February 2011 and February 2012, while nine county rates increased, according to the Kentucky Office of Employment and Training, an agency of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.
