  • Student of the Week for Jan. 23:Campbellsburg Elementary School Harlie Webster

    Harlie is in the 5th grade at Campbellsburg.

    What is your favorite subject?

    Social Studies. I like seeing how life was back then. I like learning about how farmers worked then and the Indians. I am part Native American.  We just finished the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere, the real story was he had to go and warn other Sons of Liberty.

    Isaac is a 5th grader at Eastern.

    What is your favorite subject?

    Math. I like working with numbers. It’s cool to see all the patterns work out. How to multiply certain things. The math tricks: you can multiply straight across on fractions.

     

    What would you like to do when you grow up?

    Law enforcement like a wildlife agent. A game warden. I like hunting and I’m experienced with guns.

  • Student of the Week for Jan. 16 : Eminence High School Andrew Lentini

    Andrew is a sophomore at Eminence High School.

    What is your favorite subject?

    Math. I like problem solving in Geometry where you have to find things like circumferences and such.

    What do you do for fun?

    Hang out with my friends and go to the mall. Go roller skating.

    Do you have any pets?

    4 cats: Jacob, Misty, Ginger and Boots.

    If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go?

    I would go to Italy. I would like to visit the rest of my family that lives there in Sicily.

    Colleen is a junior at Henry County High School.

    What is your favorite subject?

    I like English and peer tutoring. I like studying different time periods. Mrs. Johnson does a good job when she teaches it. I like tutoring because I like getting to know kids and teachers and helping them.

    What do you do for fun?

    I play basketball, hang out with my friends and family. We go bowling or have a movie night.

    Do you have any pets?

    Two horses: Sugar and Tanner, Dogs: Ice Man, Sassy, Bentley and Max.

  • Local student of the week: Eminence MIDDLE SCHOOL Joseph Leopold

    Joseph is an 8th grader at Eminence Middle School.

    What is your favorite subject?

    Science. I love experimenting and testing things. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to be a scientist. I like things that make you use your brain and I like a challenge.

    What do you do for fun?

    I’m a black belt in Kung Fu. When I was younger, I would watch Jackie Chan and liked all the cool techniques and moves he did. My dad signed me up. I also play pitcher, short stop and in the outfield on the baseball team.

    Analeya is a 7th grader at Henry County Middle School.

    What is your favorite subject?

    I don’t really have a favorite subject, but I am really good at math. Math comes easily to me. I am testing at  the freshmen level for high school.

    What do you do for fun?

    I like to ride horses and help with them at a horse shelter in La Grange called Angel’s Share Farm. I like horses they comfort me when I’m upset or in a bad mood.

    Josiah is a 5th grader at Campbellsburg Elementary.

    What is your favorite subject?

    Math. I think it is a lot of fun and a lot of work. I like working problems. It makes you think too that is why I like algebra.

     

    Do you have any pets?

    I have three dogs named: Bigfoot, Rocky and Casey. I have two cats: Tonka and Poochkins.

    What is your favorite subject?

    Math, it’s more fun than reading or science. You get to do fun games and figure out things with word problems.

     

    Do you have any pets?

    I have two cats only one is named Sassy and a chicken,  and a dog named Max.

     

    What do you like to do for fun?

    I play outside, swim and take care of my animals.
