  • Local student of the week: Eminence MIDDLE SCHOOL Joseph Leopold

    Joseph is an 8th grader at Eminence Middle School.

    What is your favorite subject?

    Science. I love experimenting and testing things. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to be a scientist. I like things that make you use your brain and I like a challenge.

    What do you do for fun?

    I’m a black belt in Kung Fu. When I was younger, I would watch Jackie Chan and liked all the cool techniques and moves he did. My dad signed me up. I also play pitcher, short stop and in the outfield on the baseball team.

    Analeya is a 7th grader at Henry County Middle School.

    What is your favorite subject?

    I don’t really have a favorite subject, but I am really good at math. Math comes easily to me. I am testing at  the freshmen level for high school.

    What do you do for fun?

    I like to ride horses and help with them at a horse shelter in La Grange called Angel’s Share Farm. I like horses they comfort me when I’m upset or in a bad mood.

  • Campbellsburg Elementary School Josiah Miracle

    Josiah is a 5th grader at Campbellsburg Elementary.

    What is your favorite subject?

    Math. I think it is a lot of fun and a lot of work. I like working problems. It makes you think too that is why I like algebra.

     

    Do you have any pets?

    I have three dogs named: Bigfoot, Rocky and Casey. I have two cats: Tonka and Poochkins.

  • Eastern Elementary School Hailey Lyons

    Hailey is a 5th grader at Eastern Elementary.

    What is your favorite subject?

    Math, it’s more fun than reading or science. You get to do fun games and figure out things with word problems.

     

    Do you have any pets?

    I have two cats only one is named Sassy and a chicken,  and a dog named Max.

     

    What do you like to do for fun?

    I play outside, swim and take care of my animals.

     

  • Eastern Elementary School November students of the Month
  • YoCo goes to Raider country

    This past Monday, several members of Youth Coalition traveled to a morning meeting with the PRIDE group at Trimble County High School to provide advice and encouragement. Youth Coalition members have offered to mentor and assist the group at TCHS, which has the same goal of reducing substance use among underage users in their school and community. Youth Coalition members that attended the meeting include (from left to right around the back corner of the table): Brianna Moore, Morgan Miller, Rebecca Spreitzer, Ben Smith and Renee Toole.

  • Get moving with Ms. O’Toole

    On Dec. 13, at Eastern Elementary perfect attendance students from November were rewarded for having perfect attendance. All the students who had perfect attendance for the month of November spent time enjoying obstacle courses and other fun activities throughout the day. Each month Eastern Elementary recognizes students with perfect attendance. Students were able to walk a mile with Principal Sharon Bright in October. The rewards are part of a continuing effort at Eastern to promote Healthy Habits for the students
