    GraceAnne Dowden, 17, of Eminence is the daughter of Randy and Mona Dowden. Her grandparents are Betty Robison, and Glen and Lois Dowden.

    Why did you want to participate in the GSP program?

    I have heard great things about the program and I wanted to experience it myself. It is a great opportunity.

    What are you most looking forward to with the GSP program?

    The fun and new experiences. I am also looking forward to making new friends and good memories. Living at college for the summer sounds pretty good too.

    Why did you want to participate in the GSP program?

    I wanted to go to GSP for the great experience and insight of what college will be like. Also, I’ve heard of so many great experiences from friends who have gone.

    Eminence Preschool and Kindergarten
    registration

    Eminence preschool and kindergarten registration will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, April 13, and 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19, at Eminence Elementary School.

    Children who will be 4-years old by Oct. 1 may be registered for preschool; all children must be registered even if the child has attended the Head Start program. Head Start children will not need to be screened, but must come to registration, fill out a packet and turn in all required records.

  • MaGruder serves as a page

    During the 2012 session of the Kentucky General Assembly in Frankfort, Allison MaGruder was chosen to be a page for a day. She was sponsored by Rick Rand, State Representative for Henry County. MaGruder is a sixth grade student at Henry County Middle School and the daughter of Thad and Karen MaGruder. Allison was very pleased with the event and considered it a legislative learning experience. She and her family are most appreciative to Representative Rand for making her feel so special.
