    The Pleasureville High School Class of 1951 held their annual reunion Aug. 25, 2012, at Our Best Restaurant at Smithfield.   • Eastern students head for Louisville

    Eastern Elementary School’s fifth grade students took a field trip to the University of Louisville. The students worked on physical fitness activities and team building activities in the Crawford Gym.  This was conducted by U of L students majoring in physical education. This was coordinated with the Project Balance Grant. After a campus tour, the students saw a show in the planetarium.

  • Hearts of Grace yard sale serves 511

     “Hearts of Grace” says it all.

    Staff members of the Henry County Family Resource and Youth Services Center regularly demonstrate their efforts to reduce barriers for students.  Throughout the year they provide a variety of services to families, but in July they pull out all the stops for a back-to-school event.

    Wyatt is a 5th grader at Eminence Middle School.

    Favorite subject?

    Social Studies. I like things like the Civil War, because my grandpa fought in WW II.

     

    Do you have pets?

    Two dogs Elouise and Gibby and a cat Juliette.

     

    What do you do for fun?

    I play basketball. My favorite player is Rajon Rondo from the Celtics. I also like to ride my bike with my friends in the neighborhood. I also loved going to the Cheesecake Factory they have great cheesecake.

     

  • Henry County Middle School Luke Yantz

    Luke Yantz is an 8th grader at Henry County Middle School
    Favorite subject?
    Band. Band I think has the biggest effect on my life. It requires devotion with a lot hours practicing and instruction. It also teaches teamwork and multitasking. Unlike a game, with music you are always playing and participating. You don’t sit out.  I think it will help me in college and in life to focus and be dedicated to stay on task throughout life.
    What do you do for fun?

  • Chelsey Tingle Receives Diploma from Cumberlands

    University of the Cumberlands  is pleased to announce that Chelsey Tingle of New Castle received the Master of Arts degree in Education with an emphasis in Instructional Leadership in the August graduating class.
    This Fall, Cumberlands recognized 261 students as receiving their bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, and doctoral degrees. Classes are currently in full swing at UC for the fall semester.
