Dean’s Award
Issued to students who achieve Dean’s List honors at EKU for three semesters, not necessarily consecutive. A lapel pin is presented to students by the dean of their academic college.

Dean’s List
To achieve Dean’s List honors at EKU, students attempting 14 or more credit hours must earn a 3.5 GPA. Students attempting 13 credit hours must earn a 3.65 GPA. Students attempting 12 hours must earn a 3.75 GPA.
Christopher Price, a 2010 HCHS graduate, was named to the Pikeville College Dean’s list. He is the son of Heather Stoeher of Bedford and Lyndon and Chelan Johnson of Pendleton. His spring semester GPA was 3.75.
Jessica Johnson Wilkerson, a 2001 HCHS graduate, was named to the Central Methodist College (Fayetteville, Mo.), Dean’s list for the spring semester. Her parents are Lyndon and Chelan Johnson of Pendleton, and Todd and Sandy Stone of Nicholasville.
Each year, Henry County Public Schools recognize students who attend school every day. The recognition is named in honor of Earl Holmes, former Director of Pupil Personnel, who encouraged students to be present at school. This year, these students’ exemplary attendance demonstrated how much they and their families understand the importance of being at school!
Connor Arthur-Martorano is 6, and a student in Ms. Guthrie’s Kindergarten class. Principal Lane Morris said Connor is a good kid who’s made a lot of progress. “He’s just, wise beyond his years, as in, things that are going on in the classroom, and how he’s handling different scenarios,” Morris said. “(He’s) just a joy, he’s just contagious. It’s been a blessing to have him as part of our family here.”

On May 13, 54 students from Eastern Elementary School, Henry County Middle School and Henry County High School attended the state Student Technology Leadership Program competition. These students competed in both individual and team events in categories such as website design, programming, digital art, and video production. The following students received awards:
