Hayden Hughes is 17 and a junior.

Principal Jim Masters said Hughes recently was selected to be a Governor’s Scholar. “He’s also put in a lot of time to prepare for the ACT,” Masters said.

What are your future aspirations?
I’m undecided, but I’m thinking about Sports Medicine or being a Physical Therapist.

What sports do you participate in?
Cross-country, basketball and baseball.

Which one do you like best?

Kendra Jackson is 14 and in the 8th grade.

Social Studies teacher Amy Treece said Kendra was nominated as student of the week by all the 8th grade teachers. “She is one of the most responsible eighth graders I’ve ever worked with,” she said. “She’s self-motivated, has a good outlook and gives 110 percent every day.”

Caeleb Smith, of Henry County, traveled with his FIRST Robotics team, The Engineers of Kentucky – Team 2783, to compete in the 2011 Boilermaker Regional Competition at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind., March 18 and 19.
