  • Sidewalk project delayed

    General Manager

A long delayed sidewalk repair project in Eminence will be delayed, again.

In 2008, Eminence was awarded a TEA-21 grant to repair some of its sidewalks. The grant would have provided the city with about $80,000, with the city chipping in an additional $20,000.

Mayor Jim Pettit said the grant would help the city repair sidewalks in various parts of the city, including near Eminence School and on Sulphur Avenue, as well as, potentially, north and south Main Street, and portions of Elm Street.
