  • KEHA holds 78th annual state meeting

    The Kentucky Extension Homemakers Association convened in Bowling Green May 9-12, for their 78th State Meeting.  More than 600 attendees from across the state took part in the four-day meeting which celebrated “Homemakers-Rockin’ to the Beat.”

  • Commodity field day is July 21

    Mark your calendars for July 21 and plan to attend the UK All Commodity Field Day at the Princeton Research Farm . Commodity tours, youth activities, Family and Consumer Science programs and exhibits, as well as over 40 Educational Exhibits under one of the big tents will be available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Central time. Lunches prepared by various Kentucky Commodity groups will be available for purchase.

  • 50th Anniversary

    Wendell and Carole Truman of Bethlehem will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 18, 2011. They were married at Berea Christian Church in 1961.

    They have one son, Alan Truman and two daughters, Amy Truman Miles and Angela Truman Batts. They also have five grandchildren: Tyler Truman, Alex Miles, Haley Jo Miles, Kayley Batts and Aubrey Batts.

    They are both members of Pleasureville Baptist Church where Carole is the organist. They both love eating out, spending time with their grandchildren and are avid UK fans.

  • 50th Anniversary

    Charles and Helen LeCompte will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Thursday, June 16, 2011. They were married in Lockport by Bro. B.C. McMurray.

    They have four children: Denny, Chuck and Richie LeCompte and Jeana Bramblett. They have eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

  • NE New Castle voters should support option

    In less than two weeks, voters in the Northeast New Castle precinct will have a chance to decide whether or not Henry County Country Club can sell alcohol.

    They should vote to approve the measure.

    Do you want Henry County businesses to be competitive, or do you not? I certainly do.
