  • Ladycats fall to Shelby for disappointing end

It was not a disappointing season for Henry County’s volleyball team, but it was a disappointing end.

The Ladycats hosted Shelby County on Monday night in the first round of the 30th District tournament, and lost 2-0. • I’ll enjoy the sound of silence today

As I write this, the polls for the 2010 General Election have been open for about seven hours.

I happily did my duty Tuesday morning, casting my vote around 6:45.

I will be so very happy on Wednesday. Not because I’ll be recovering from 18 hours covering the election on Tuesday, but because it will be quiet.

  • Column debate ends in a draw

I had a debate with myself Tuesday morning — yes, this happens often. Note: it was while there was a tornado warning in the area, so this debate didn’t last too long.
