Eminence Independent Schools could soon hire a permanent superintendent.
The screening committee held their first meeting on Monday, March 30.
Kentucky School Board Association Superintendent Search Consultant Mike Oder said 17 educators applied for the position, including 14 Kentuckians and candidates from Indiana, Ohio and Arizona.
“That is a very good number,” he said.
Oder said the committee is set up to represent the community’s interests in the search.
