  • Huge crowd attends Eminence school reunion

    Every five years, alumnus from Eminence Independent Schools celebrate with an all-classes alumni reunion. About 250 past graduates and their guests were in attendance at the EIS Alumni Reunion Saturday, which was held in the high school gymnasium. Guests were treated to appetizers provided by the school’s culinary classes, a catered meal, live music from Leo Mason and Nobody’s Business and tours of the renovated campus. The greatest number of alums in attendance were from the 60s and 70s.

  • Lady Titans defeat Warriors in Regional

    The Eminence Warriors volleyball team had a difficult task ahead of them when they traveled to Shelbyville Oct. 25 to take on host Collins High School in the first round of the Eighth Region tournament.

    Collins came into the match with a record of 25-9 and had defeated the Warriors 25-7, 25-11 earlier in the season.

    But the Warriors came out and made a statement early on as they jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first set on kills by Madison Sweeney and Keliegh Byers.

    The Henry County High School cross country runners qualified for the state cross country meet to be held at the Kentucky Horse Park this weekend.

    Senior Lilly Golden, junior Sydney Amyx and freshman Leanna Hawkins all had times good enough to qualify as individuals at the Region 3, Class AA meet held at Creasey-Mahan Nature Preserve in Goshen Saturday.
