  • The female pharmacist in small town Kentucky

    Lindsey Seel

My husband and I joke that I was always a small town country girl that just happened to be born in a big city and raised on the road while following my Navy Dad to five states and two foreign countries.

Now, as the pharmacist at Bluegrass Drug Center in Campbellsburg, and living among my husband’s family in Madison, IN, after 27 years I finally feel like I’m where I was always meant to be.

This love/hate relationship that many Christians have with science baffles me.

It has long been known that high cholesterol levels are related to higher rates of vascular disease, heart attacks and strokes. For years physicians and patients have taken a reactive approach to high cholesterol and focused on “treating the numbers” to goal. Statin medications such as simvastatin (Zocor), atorvastatin (Lipitor), pravastatin (Pravachol) and rosuvastatin (Crestor) are the most potent and popular medications prescribed to treat high cholesterol.
