It was a speech Jason Holland didn’t want to give, but one he had to — saying goodbye to the players he helped mold the last five years.
On Friday, May 22, Holland told the Henry County boys’ basketball players that he was resigning and had accepted a new coaching position at Oldham County. This came just two hours after he told the Oldham players he was their new head man. Holland, who transformed the Henry program from the worst record in the 8th Region to the second best, made the tough decision to move on. It wasn’t an easy one.
