Wednesday, December 5 Girls in Action (GAs) of Cropper Baptist Church meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. The program is open to girls through age 12. Karate classes will be held at the Community Center from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Children’s Story and Craft hour every Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Pleasureville Christian Church. Community Library open to the public from 1 to 4:30 p.m. every Wednesday. Eastern Elementary will hold its Site-Based Council meeting at 4 p.m. in the school library. HCMS Site-Based District meeting will be held in the HCMS conference room at 4 p.m.

Thursday, December 6 TOPS 298 will meet at Orville Baptist Church. Weigh in 4:30 p.m. and meeting at 5 p.m. New members welcome. There will be a “Making Waves/Opening the Eminence Swimming Pool” committee meeting from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Eminence/Henry County Library. The election of officers and an “Open the Pool” update will be the agenda items. Mayor Jim Petitt will be attending. Call (502) 321-7643 for more information. A field representative from the Kentucky Department of Veteran Affairs (KDVA) will be available at the Henry County Courthouse Annex in New Castle between the hours of 9 and 11 a.m. This representative will be available to assist veterans and widows/widower in filing for federal and state benefits for veterans and dependents. Friday, December 7 Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon meet at 8 p.m. at the Eminence Baptist Church. The group will also meet Sunday, December 9 at 7 p.m. at Henry County Library and Tuesday, December 11 at 8 p.m. at Eminence Methodist Church. All of these meetings are non-smoking. A New Direction in Life, a Christian support group for alcohol/drugs or other addictions will meet from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Eminence. The KY Cowboy Church will hold praise and worship services every Friday at 7 p.m. at Grubridge Church. New Castle United Methodist Women Holiday Bazaar Bake Sale Luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at New Castle United Methodist Church.

Sunday, December 9 Campbellsburg United Methodist Church will be holding worship services in the Campbellsburg City Hall. Church services will begin at 9:30 a.m. and Sunday School will be held following church services. Services will be held in the City Hall until further notice. Everyone is invited. The Grief Support Group for people dealing with the loss of a loved one or close friend will meet at 3 p.m. at the Henry Christian Church. The group meets the second Sunday of each month. The “Faithful Eight” will present a Christmas Concert at Eminence Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. and at Campbellsburg Baptist Church at 6 p.m. The Orville Baptist Church Youth Choir presents the musical “Worship the King” at 6:30 p.m. at Orville Baptist Church. Refreshments served after the musical.

Tuesday, December 11 The Alateen “Together We Can Make It” group will meet at 8 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Eminence. Adult Education and GED classes offered at the Wendy Hills Community Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information call 845-0307. The KY Cowboy Church will be holding Bible study every Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at Grubridge Community Church. The Campbellsburg Elementary School Site-Based Council will meet at 4 p.m. in the school library. Everyone is invited to attend.

Thursday, December 13 An open house will be held at 5:15 p.m. for Tops 298. Friday, December 14 KMA/KBA District 10 meeting will be held at The Rivers Edge Restaurant on US 227 in Carrollton at 8 p.m.

Tuesday, December 18 The Eminence Board of Education meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. The December and January meetings will be held at the Eminence School Library.
