EMS Braves make history on football field but fall in district finals to Bracken County, 48-30

In the first year that Class A, District Four has used a playoff system for the middle school football teams, the Eminence Middle School Braves were able to reach the district finals Saturday night against the Bracken County Polar Bears.

But in the end, after the Polar Bears led 22-12 at the half and then outscored Eminence by two touchdowns during the third quarter, the Braves came away with a 48-30 loss in the championship game to end their season with a 4-3 record.
