Five file to run in 2018 Henry County elections

When the filing period for 2018 elections opened, five candidates signaled their intention to seek local offices with the Henry County Clerk’s Office.

Those who signed their paperwork on the first day, Nov. 9, included incumbent Virginia Harrod, seeking re-election as county attorney; Bonnie Martin-Duke, a Republican who will seek the office of Henry County judge-executive; incumbent Shanda Archer, running again for county clerk; and Richard D. Steele, a Republican interested in the District 5 magistrate seat on fiscal court.
