Hadden Leads Player of the Year Standings

Alex Hadden continues to play good golf in the 11-12-age division of the Musselman-Dunne Golf Tour. Since June 11 Hadden has won two events and placed second in three others.

On June 11 Hadden shot 39 in the 9-hole event at The Bull at Boone’s Trace Golf Club to finish second.

On June 13-14 he won the 18-hole event at Long Run Golf Course shooting 38 on the first day and 36 on the second day for a 2-over par 74.

On June 21 Hadden shot a 39 at Old Silo to finish second and followed that up with a first place finish on June 24 at Danville Country Club shooting 38.

On June 26 Hadden completed his 9-hole event at Gibson Bay Golf Course tied for first with a 37 but lost in a playoff to finish second.

Hadden sat atop the player of the year standings after the June 24 event at Danville with 1,675 points. Miles Parroco of Prospect was in second with 1,357 points having played in one more event.

Hadden plans to play in one more MDGT event before the tour championship at Big Spring Country Club on July 15-16.

Hadden has also played in two Kentucky Junior PGA tournaments since winning at Henry County earlier in the year. He finished second in each of those events shooting 85 at the Polo Fields and 85 at Shelbyville Country Club. Hadden is in fourth place on the Kentucky Junior PGA points list having played in only three of those tour events with 270 points. Jesse Holton of Philpot leads with 465 points having played in five events.
