-A A +A
By Melissa Blankenship

Each school district can submit the names of two students, one male and one female, to be entered into a drawing to win the Kentucky School Board Association’s First Degree Scholarship. To be eligible, students must be seniors intending to attend college, from an immediate family who has not earned a college degree, and have earned a minimum ACT reading score of 20 as a junior or senior. The nominees from Henry County Public Schools are Sydney Barbour, who hopes to pursue a career in nursing, and Fernando Smither, who is interested in psychology.
