Church Activities and Services
The Trimble County Hymn Sing will be held at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church of the Living God, 124 Smith Lane, Bedford, Thursday, April 7 at 7 p.m.
First Presbyterian Church is hosting a Bible study each Wednesday at 1 p.m. using the old Andy of Mayberry T.V. show.  It is a lot of fun to watch the old shows and discuss a biblical topic brought out in the episode. For more, contact Terry Johnson at onepres@bellsouth.net or call 502-845-4132.
Grace Fellowship of La Grange will have midweek services at 6:30 p.m. every Tuesday in the Ramada Inn meeting room.
Sulphur Christian Church meets each Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Life Church will have Sunday service at 1 p.m. at La Grange Presbyterian Church, 1931 Prestwick Drive in La Grange.

Civic Organizations
Eminence Rotary Club meets at noon at Henry Christian Church every Monday.
The New Castle Lions Club meets at 7 p.m. the first and third Monday of each month at Buddy’s Place in New Castle.
Pleasureville Masonic Lodge No. 410 meets at 7:30 p.m. the first Monday of each month at Lodge Hall, 105 Main St., Pleasureville.
Pleasureville Economic Development Council meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at Main Street Café.

Clubs & Organizations
The Dutch Tract Cemetery annual meeting has been scheduled for Monday, April 25, at 7 p.m., to be held at the Low Dutch Meeting House at 6805 Castle Highway, Pleasureville.
Henry County Amateur Radio Emergency Service meetings are the third Saturday of each month at 3 p.m. at the Henry County Public Library, 172 Eminence Terrace, Eminence.
The Henry County Rod & Gun Club meets the last Thursday of each month from March through October. Meetings start at 7 p.m. at the club house located on Sunnyside Road in Smithfield. Memberships are available. For more information, call (502) 845-7256 or Facebook/Henry County Rod & Gun Club Lake.
The Second Wind Dreams committee meets the second Tuesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. at the Extension Office in New Castle. If you are a member, please come. Community Events
The Henry County Art and Craft Guild’s Spring Art Show has been set for April 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Henry County Fairgrounds. The guild allows members have been juried in to set up at the art show.
There will be a membership program and pot luck supper at the Henry County Historical Society’s History Center at 219 S. Main St. Monday April 11, 2016 at 6:30 p.m.
The program is “Rascals, Heroes and Just Plain Uncommon Folks from Kentucky” presented by James C. Claypool. It is presented in cooperation with the Kentucky Humanities Council and is free and open to the public.
The Berry Center and Bookstore are hosting an opening reception for an exhibit of paintings by Nana Lampton on April 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Bookstore Gallery.  In addition, Lampton have a reading from her latest book, “Wash the Dust from My Eyes.”  The exhibit will continue until August 1.  Please call Mary Jane Yates at (502) 743-1820 for details.  
There will be Family Game Night at Campbellsburg Community Center every other Friday night from 6 to 9 p.m. All school age kids are invited but anyone under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Community Service
The Tri-County Community Action Agency regular and senior drive-through commodities are offered on the third Tuesday of each month, starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Henry County Fairgrounds. Need identification. For additional information, please call Cindy at 845-7808.
Tri-County Community Action Agency’s Board of Directors will meet on Thursday, April 21 at 10 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Trimble County Cooperative Extension Office located at 43 High Country Lane, Bedford. The public is invited.
The Henry-Trimble County Animal Shelter will host a monthly meeting on the second Tuesdays of every month.
The mobile food pantry visits Henry County from 3 to 6 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month. The gates at the Henry County Fairgrounds open at 2 p.m. Please bring ID or recent mail to confirm address — must live in Henry County.
Bundle up your newspapers, aluminum, plastics, etc., and take to County Road Barn at 714 Property Road, seven days a week.
The Henry County Help Center will have open registration at the Eminence United Methodist Church from 1 to 2 p.m. on Fridays, at the Lockport Baptist Church from 6:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and Sundays, at Sulphur Christian Church 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Drennon Christian Church from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and 9:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sundays and Franklinton Baptist Church Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at New Castle Christian Church Mondays from 9 to 11 a.m. You must be a resident of Henry County to qualify. New Castle Elementary will hold its Transition to Kindergarten Night April 19 at 6 p.m. in the gym for those who have a student entering that grade this fall. The public can meet teachers, see classrooms and register children. For more, contact Trisha Lankford at (502) 845-8650.
Henry County Adult Education is hosting free computer education classes: Excel spreadsheets,  April 4 to 21, Mondays and Wednesdays, 5 to 7 p.m.  Call (502) 686-0724 to sign up 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
Henry County Public Schools will hold preschool and Headstart screenings April 29 and May 13 at the Early Childhood Center at New Castle Elementary School. The screenings are free, intended for families of 3- and 4-year-olds who wish to enroll their children. Each screening takes about 45 minutes. Call (502) 845-8614 to make an appointment.

Eastern Elementary School SBDM council meets on the first Thursday of each month at 4 p.m. in the school library.
The Campbellsburg Elementary School Site Based Council will meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 5 p.m. in the school library.
Eminence SBDM meetings will be the second Wednesday of the month at 3:15 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

Political Groups
Henry County Republican Party meets at 7 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
The Henry County Democratic Party executive committee meets at 6 p.m. the second Monday of each month at the Courthouse Annex.

Support Groups
A monthly support group for those affected by addiction meets every second Sunday at Second Baptist Church in Campbellsburg at 3 p.m. Families, friends, addicts and those in recovery are all welcome. You are not alone!
The Henry County Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary meets the first Monday of each month at 6 p.m. For the next few months we will be meeting at the Henry County Sherriff’s Office located in New Castle. All honorably discharged veterans and their extended family members are invited to attend. For more information on the DAV Auxiliary call (502) 2376-6165.
There will be an open meeting for gamblers anonymous and gameanon for family members. The meeting will take place every Thursday at 7 p.m. at Port Royal United Methodist Church, 8230 Port Royal Road, Port Royal.
AA meeting at 8 p.m. at Eminence Methodist Church on Tuesdays.
Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon meet at 8 p.m. Fridays, at Eminence Baptist Church. All meetings are nonsmoking.
A New Direction in Life, a Christian support group for alcohol/drug or other addictions, will meet from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., Fridays, at First Baptist Church, Eminence.
