Local Students help save Kestrels

-A A +A

Students at Henry County Middle School got a unique experience this week when Raptor Rehabilitation of Kentucky came to the school to release four young kestrels, according to information from seventh-grade science teacher Jessica Elliott. Two of these small birds of prey were rescued by Henry County students in May, given to their teacher and then on to the skilled hands of RROKI. The students recovered the baby birds after a storm and wanted to save them. They knew what to do thanks to a presentation Raptor Rehab had given at HCMS just a few weeks earlier.
