As this is written Monday morning, it is obvious that most of Henry County has had a good frost.  Frost has some rather dangerous implications in the forage world, allowing cyanide producing compounds in living plant cells to be converted to prussic acid when the cells are crushed and ruptured because of the frost.  We are indeed fortunate here, since most of the plant species we grow (fescue, orchard grass, timothy, red and white clover, and alfalfa) are not known to be prussic acid producers.  However, most plants in the sorghum family are, including sudangrass and johnso
