Work Horses put their back into it for saturday night’s pull

There’s one event at the Henry County Fair where horsepower doesn’t mean the combustion engine driven vehicles like those driven into the demolition derby ring or the mud bog. The draft horse pull held July 8 in the Ag Arena featured towering work horses who had to put their backs into hauling a sled with an increasing amount of 40-pound concrete blocks 27.5 feet down the track in order to go on to the next round. One of the winners for the evening was the team of Evans and O’Neil with horses Bill and Bob driven by Jansen O’Neal.
