  • Larry and Tracy Noe of Eminence would like to  announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Katlyn Noe, to Ben Roberts, son of John and Mary Roberts of New Castle. 

    Katlyn is a 2009 graduate of Eminence High School and Ben is a 2008 graduate of Henry County High School. Both Katlyn and Ben are 2013 graduates of the University of Louisville’s College of Education. Katlyn is employed as a second grade teacher at Eminence Elementary. She also works as a photographer throughout the county. 

  • Church Activities and Services

    Sligo Baptist Church will host Handshakes and Pancakes on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at 65 N. 42 Loop in Pendleton. This free breakfast is held on the third Saturday of each month.   • Derek Nolan would like to announce the birth of his sister Zoey EvaLyn Wilson. Born Oct. 22, 2015, she weighed eight pounds, one ounce and measured 19 inches long.  Zoey is the daughter of Michael and Amber Wilson. Her grandparents are Rob and Amy Johnson of Campbellsburg, Billie (BJ) Sexton of New Castle and David and Karen Wilson of Smithfield. Her great grandparents include Patty Johnson, Vernon and Barbara Abney, Bob and Debbie Boyd, Jimmy and Joyce Woods, Lorraine Hawkins and the late Bobby Johnson and the late John Hawkins.

    The Apostolic Pentecostal Church of the Living God, 124 Smith Lane, Bedford, will be holding Revival Services, Friday, Nov. 13, and Saturday, Nov. 14, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 15, at 6:30 p.m. The speaker is Brother Jerry Cottrell from Palestine, W.Va.

  • Church Activities and Services

    Pleasureville Baptist Church will have revival services Nov. 6-8. Evening services at 7 p.m. Sunday morning service at 11 a.m. Rev. Alan Witham will be the evangelist. Everyone welcome and a nursery will be provided.

    The Noblemen will hold a concert Nov. 8 at 4 p.m. at Centenary United Methodist Church located at 429 Main St., Shelbyville.

  • William E. and Lois J. Edens Suter will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary at their home in New Castle on Thursday, November 5, 2015. They were married at Judge Herrington’s home in Eminence on November 5, 1955. They have seven children, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

  • Jerry and Joyce Powell would like to announce the birth of their granddaughter, Maeve Ann Hope, born September 6, 2015.
    Parents are Nick and Jordan Hope of Louisville. Great-grandparents are Bobbie Powell, the late Owen Powell and the late John and Mary Marcum.
