    Clair William “Bill” Densmore, 60

    Clair William “Bill” Densmore, age 60 of Campbellsburg, died Monday, April 23, 2012 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville. He retired from Ford Motor Company with over 30 years of service. He was a Navy Veteran and a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. He was the son of the late Carl Franklin and Lois Elaine (Robbins) Densmore.


    Willie B. Ricketts, 96

    Willie B. Ricketts, age 96 of Carrollton, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Green Valley Health and Rehab in Carrollton. He was the son of the late Elias and Virginia (O’Nan) Ricketts.

    He is survived by two daughters: Olivene Ogburn, Carrollton; Linda Graham, Weatherford, Texas; and one son, Lyndon Ricketts, Turners Station.

  • Dorothy Ransdell

    Dorothy (Moore) Ransdell, age 80 of Port Royal, died Sunday, April 22, 2012. Dorothy was a farmer and member of Port Royal Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Mary (Singleton) Moore.

    She is survived by one daughter, Debbie Bohannon and husband, Randal, Versailles; three grandchildren: Jeff Stivers, Carrie Beutel and husband, Doug and Jessica McCourt; and two great-grandchildren: Caitlin Beutel and Wyatt Stivers.

  • Jim Fullenwider Jr.

    Jim Fullenwider Jr., age 67, died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Baptist Hospital Northeast in La Grange.

    He is survived by his mother, Barbara Fullenwider, Shelbyville; one son, Jimmy Fullenwider III, Louisville.

    A private family memorial service was held at Grove Hill Cemetery.
    Shannon Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

  • Thelma Gibson

    Thelma Gibson, age 91 of Pendleton, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at The Richwood in La Grange.  She was the daughter of the late John Wid Morgan and Eva L Wheeler Morgan.

    She is survived by one daughter, Sondra Ferguson (Gary) Lexington.

    Funeral services were 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21. Rev. Darrell Wilson officiated. Interment was in Bedford Cemetery.

  • James L. "Jimmie" Kephart

    James L. “Jimmie” Kephart, age 67 of Bethlehem, died suddenly at his home on Thursday, April 19, 2012. He was the son of the late Matthew and Waneita (Tingle) Kephart. He was a member of Pleausureville Baptist Church and attended Point Pleasant Christian Church. He was a United States Army veteran. A certified public accountant, Jimmie was employed by the KY Revenue Cabinet for 31 years. He was a Kentucky Colonel. Jimmie was a capable craftsman who also took pride in restoring antique Case tractors and he was a member of the Salt River Antique Power Association.

  • Charles Edward Martin

    Charles Edward Martin, age 62 of Radcliff, died Friday, April 13, 2012, at his home.

    He is survived by two sons: Charles E. Martin Jr., Louisville, and Thomas Vinson, California; two brothers: James Martin, Eminence and Donald Martin, Louisville; one sister, Jean Hill, Atlanta, Ga. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ki Ja Martin.

    Interment will be  11 a.m. Thursday, April 26, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff with military honors.

  • Barbara Aldridge, 75

    Barbara (Payton) Chase Aldridge, age 75 of Eminence, died Monday, April 9, 2012, at Georgetown Community Hospital. Daughter of the late Luther and Hallie (Long) Payton, she was a member of the 7th Street Chapel Church in Fort Meade, Md., and a veteran of the Women’s Army Corp.

  • Anna Blatz, 87

    Anna Katherine Louden Blatz, age 87, formerly of Bedford, died Sunday, April 8, 2012, in Niles, Mich.
    She is survived by her son, Richard Bauman, Campbellsburg.
    Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

    Reva Smith Bohannon, age 69 of Pleasureville, died Monday, April 9, 2012, at Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville. She was the daughter of the late Voyd Smith Sr. and Edna Lewis Smith. She was a homemaker, farmer and member of Elmburg Baptist Church.
