    Stella Pearl (Louden) Lee, age 72 of Sulphur, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at Homestead Nursing Center. Pearl worked at C.A. Garner Veneer Plant and was the daughter of the late Whitaker and Lottie (Gividen) Louden.

  • Joyce Arnold Hackett

    Joyce Arnold Hackett, age 76 of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville. She was born in Lockport and was the daughter of the late Curtis Monroe and Rose Vernon Shuck Arnold. She was a homemaker and belonged to the Bethlehem Baptist Church.

  • David Gosser

    David Gosser, 61
    David H. Gosser, age 61, of Louisville, formerly of Pleasureville, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011, at his residence. He was the son of the late Arvis “Tiny” and Nettie Gosser.  He was preceded in death by his brother, James T. Gosser.

  • Virgil Chapman

    Virgil  Chapman, age 66 of Sulphur, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville. Son of the late William Clyde Chapman and Beatrice (Huey) Chapman, he was a member of Sulphur Baptist Church.

    He is survived by his wife, Pat Chapman, Sulphur; one daughter, Denise Gilbert, New Castle; one son, Dean Chapman and wife, Missy, Frankfort; two sisters: Mable Richardson, Frankfort and Lorraine Hawkins, Campbellsburg; one brother, Phil Chapman and wife, Judy, Ghent; four grandchildren: Casey Gilbert, Brittany Kendall, Mackenzie Napier and Josh Napier.

  • Bessie O’Nan

    Bessie O’Nan, age 82 fo Defoe, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Lyndon and Mary Thomas “Tommy” Clements Wheeler.

    She was a homemaker and a member of Defoe Christian Church.

    She is survived by two daughters: Shelia O’Nan, Lexington; and Marcie Hehl (Bob), Defoe; one brother, Orem Wheeler, Acworth, GA; one sister, Nellie Bright, Eminence; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil O’Nan and her son, Steve O’Nan.

  • Anna Morrow

    Anna “Ann” Elizabeth Samples Morrow, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Robert Leslie and Addie Lou Riddle Samples.
    She is survived by her daughter,  Peg Jones of Morehead.

    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, at Shannon Funeral Home, Shelbyville. Rev. Michael Duncan, pastor of Eminence Baptist Church, officiated. Interment was in Grove Hill Cemetery Visitation was held from 2 to 5 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at the funeral home.
     

  • Robert W. “Bobby” Moore

    Robert W. “Bobby” Moore, age 85 of Eminence, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at Crestview Health Care in Shelbyville. Son of the late James Henry and Grace Watkins Moore, he was an electrical/mechanical maintenance technician at Hussey Copper.  He was a member of Eminence Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School superintendent at age 17 and was a deacon for 65 ½ years. He worked on the Eminence Independent School Board for 23 ½ years.

    Gary Lewis, age 58 of Shelbyville, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at his home. He was a member of Shelby Christian Church.

    He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cynda Jaehnigen Lewis, Shelbyville; daughters: Rebecca Lewis, Shelbyville; Rachel Smith, Murfreesboro, Tenn.; mother, Janis Lewis, Simpsonville; step-daughter, Sherri Cole, Campbellsburg; brothers: Greg Lewis, Avon Lake, Ohio; Brian Lewis, Campbellsburg; grandchildren: Anaiyah, Amari, and Aliyah Smith; Seth and Haley Hahn; and two nieces and nephews.
