  • Beckley key in boys' golf squeaker over Owen

Sometimes in high school golf the fifth player can go through most of the season without his score counting in the team results, but that was not the case for Jakob Beckley on Thursday at the Henry County Country Club.

Beckley finished his round Thursday with a 55, which normally wouldn’t put him in contention to score among the top four golfers on the team. But Dillon Allen had an off day and Beckley’s score was one stroke better which gave the Wildcat golf team a one-stroke win over the Owen County Rebels.

    By Melissa Blankenship

    Landmark News Service

Georgia is a long way to go for a bra fitting, especially if you’re a goat.

But that’s exactly where Betty, an “extremely well-endowed” Myotonic goat, went to get a little special attention from Cynthia Richards and Molly Hopkins of the Lifetime Channel reality show “Double Divas.”

The premise of the show is that the owners design and create custom lingerie, especially bras, for clients with special needs. Betty certainly has special needs.
