  • Dixie floater lifts Warriors past Gallatin

With just a few seconds to go in the Warriors’ game against Gallatin County, Jalen Dixie drove left from the top of the key.

With Gallatin defenders converging on him, he put up an off-balance floater that kissed off the glass and into the net, giving Eminence a tenuous 52-51 lead — with 7 seconds left in the game.

Gallatin couldn’t capitalize on their next play — an open 3-pointer from the baseline — and time expired. For the first time since 1999, the Eminence Warriors were heading to the 8th Region tournament.

  • Going on a cruise to the end of the road

    By Candy Clarke

Recently, I decided it would be fun to take a drive for a few hours - without any given destination in mind.

No shopping, just driving around the local areas and enjoying the sights along with the changing topography. It was a warm sunny day and it would give me a chance to perhaps take some more photos of Henry County and the surrounding counties.
