Eminence — Eddie Prewitt passed away April 14, 2024. Son of the late Benjamin and Mary (Quire) Prewitt, he was previously a deacon and a member of Eminence Baptist Church. He retired from Hussey Copper after 35 years as a supervisor and was a founding volunteer of the Eminence EMS. Faithfully serving his country in the Army for two years, he also spent eight years on the Eminence City Council and 10 years as president of the Eminence Cemetery board.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years; Charlotte (Louden) Prewitt, a daughter; Sheila Tingle (Christopher) and a son; Christopher Prewitt.
Funeral Services were held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home with interment following in Eminence Cemetery.
