The Eminence and Henry County tennis teams excelled at the North Central Kentucky Conference (NCKC) tennis tournament on April 16-18 at Gallatin County.
For the Warriors, Trey Heath and Matthew Virgin teamed up to win the boys’ doubles championship.
Heath and Virgin defeated Henry County in the quarterfinals and Gallatin County in the semifinals to advance to the title match.
In the finals, the duo defeated Nate Miller and Damien Jenkins of Gallatin County to bring home the championship.
Along with the doubles title, each Eminence player advanced out of the first round and the boys’ team finished second overall.
Griffin Smith earned runner-up honors in the boys’ singles championship, and Griffin Kessinger and Ashton Brown advanced to the semifinals of the girls’ doubles championship.
Henry County also saw great success at NCKC. Riley Denny and Sara Wilkerson won the girls’ doubles championship and Alyssa Harger won the singles division to help the Wildcats win the overall girls’ team trophy.
